Diwali is a time for celebrations and lighting candles, diyas and fireworks to welcome Lord Rama, God Ganesha, Maa Lakshmi and other god goddesses to shower their blessings of happiness, peace, good luck and prosperity. On diwali, people make special lighting to remove away all darkness. Thats why diwali is also known as the Festival of Lights.
